When Day Breaks by Mary Jane Clark

When Day Breaks by Mary Jane Clark

I got this book off the shelf in a hurry, thinking that the author is Mary Higgins Clark. This is because their names are so similar. I did an internet search and realised that Mary Jane Clark’s former mother in law is the well known American author Mary Higgins Clark.

Nevertheless, I like the story “When Day Breaks”. I was reading this around 1 am in the morning, and continued until 2.30 pm, as I was so absorbed to finish the story.

On the day she died, Constance Young was the undisputed star of morning television. But her plans to move herself and her loyal audience to another network were cancelled when she ended up dead at the bottom of her swimming pool.

Based on the story, jealousy and ambition can make one kill another person.  In order to achieve a personal goal or ambition, it can lead to murder. However murder leaves clues.
