Killer Instinct (2006)

By Joseph Finder
A salesman who is well liked but lacks the “killer instinct” necessary to move up the corporate ladder. He met a dangerous former Special Forces Officer who helped him to create bad things for his rivals.
Moral of the book : It is best to be self-reliant and always find out more about the person whom you befriend. This is especially so for those whom you suspect to have a dubious background or character.
